Texas A&M Livestock Judging Camp – Camp I

June 17 - June 19
Texas A&M University, College Station, TX

This year’s camps are designed for 4-H and FFA members interested in building their knowledge of evaluating market and breeding animals, including beef, swine, sheep, and goats. This camp focuses on selection principles, oral reasons, live market evaluation, and breeding animal performance data. Any 4-H and FFA members are welcome to attend. Instructors include Texas A&M faculty and staff, and members of the 2018 livestock judging team.

Argentina Agricultural Experience

June 18 - June 28
Argentina

An elite group of current Livestock and Equine Ambassadors have been selected to participate in a 10-day agricultural experience in Argentina. The Ambassadors will be exposed to the diverse characteristics agricultural production in South America. Through visits of progressive and established farms and ranches, Ambassadors will gain a greater understanding of varying agricultural practices abroad. The experience will also increase their awareness of global agriculture and international trade.

2018 Texas Youth Cattle Conference

The Texas Youth Cattle Conference is for youth who have a desire to expand their knowledge about the Texas beef industry. This tour is designed to explore the beef industry by focusing on beef’s role in the food industry, nutrition, beef cattle science, management, and marketing. Applicants must be at least 16 years old as of June 1, 2018.
